Old or New 2025 IB 400 Question Guide?

I’m in my freshman year summer, preparing for IB interviews, and I recently came across the 2025 Updated IB 400 Question Guide. I’ve been looking at the older version so far, which has been recommended to me by upperclassmen who made it to top EBs and BBs.

I’m wondering if it’s worth switching to the newest 2025 guide. For anyone who’s used both, do you think the 2025 edition adds value, or is the older version still solid for prep, especially for targeting EBs and BBs?

Thanks

Based on the most helpful WSO content, the updated versions of the IB 400 Question Guide are actively reviewed and improved throughout the year, incorporating feedback from users and reflecting the latest trends in interview questions. The 2025 edition would likely include more relevant and up-to-date content, especially for targeting EBs and BBs, as these firms often evolve their interview processes and expectations.

If you're already comfortable with the older version, it’s still a solid resource, as it has been recommended by upperclassmen who succeeded in landing top roles. However, the 2025 guide could provide additional insights, updated firm-specific questions, and potentially new advanced sections that align with current industry standards. Since all new customers get lifetime updates for free, upgrading to the latest version would ensure you’re not missing out on any new material that could give you an edge.

If you’re serious about maximizing your prep, it’s worth considering the switch to the 2025 edition.

why are mods allowing blatant ads - ive seen this for margin of alpha, liquidity shark, capital interview experts, etc...

The new one is a lot more comprehensive and fixes a few mistakes from the previous version, so would def rely on that. Been using it for a few lateral roles and it’s been helpful

But would also use the individual guides for all the topics in conjunction

I'm in the same situation and have the same question. Have you received any more insights on the added value of the new version? Have you decided to use the old version or the new version?

Personally I HATE the 400Qs because people take them as the holy bible of interview prep. Do the actual BIWS/ WSO guides to understand the concepts. It's so obvious who doesn't understand and just memorized when you ask them a question with a slight modification to tax.

The question guides should be used to review, similar to flash cards. Everyone knows about them, that's why they're outdated for interviews now
