Is it in bad taste for a 1st year analyst to set up an out of office automatic reply when taking PTO? I let my deal teams know I am taking time off a few weeks ago and that i would be available if urgent.

I would and will when I go on my week long vacation next month. I sometimes get requests that only I from my team is on. They would be left waiting for a response / what ever materials they need. They should know to go ask my associate or something while I’m gone, and only way they will know is with an OOO email
Definitely set an OOO email. There’s a setting in Outlook where it only gets sent internally so you don’t spam the 100 person distribution list.
