Outward Bound in Training
Has anyone else had to do one of these things?
Is this fun? Or just a completely brutal day of doing bs "team-building" activities outside with a bunch of people you hardly know?

It's pretty fun, especially if you do the "alpine tower". I didn't do it for a company but I think Outward Bound runs them all in pretty much the same way.
my favorite was the "eiffel tower"
This ain't Real World punk
i completed an outward bound 21day course in singapore , i would really say its a milestone in life.. gives you alot of mental toughness.
if you're just there for those half day programmes, just go have fun, meet some new people.

It's kind of cool to meet people you don't know, enjoy it and try to take a little bit from it. You may be grouped with a few cool guys and a hot chick or 2.
Outward Bounds - Resume? (Originally Posted: 11/11/2012)
Hi everyone, this is my first post, although I've been reading the forums for a while and have gleaned plenty of useful information (and laughs) from everyone's comments.
I was wondering where an Outward Bounds trip would go on a resume (if at all)? I know it's more than just an interest, but would it go in the same area as activities? For the record, I'm applying solely to internships in sales and trading and the alumni I've talked to at banks have told me it's okay if my resume isn't filled with finance-related activities.
IMHO, when deciding whether and where to put something like this on your resume, you should ask yourself what it says about you and/or what you want it to say about you.
In this case, if you simply participated on a trip, it probably says that you are physically active, amenable to new experience and capable of not sabotaging a team. This probably merits a mention under activities.
If you went on multiple trips, were significantly involved in the organization, and/or perhaps led a trip, it speaks to your leadership and community skills. This would fit well under leadership & community.
