Piper Jaffray in 2019

Does anybody know what Piper Jaffray is like in 2019? Really liked the people I met when I recruited (Minneapolis) and am now considering an offer.

Would also appreciate insight into the SF/NY offices, as I think I would want to transfer out of Minneapolis if promoted to associate. Thank you!

I'd add their Houston office to the list. Simmons has great deal flow and MD's have hung around after merger. They worked on something like 7/10 MM OFS deals.

There have been many SAs and analysts that have jumped from Piper Jaffray to Jefferies in recent years. I know for a fact that top Piper management holds Jefferies in high regard and have all but explicitly stated that they are trying to be more like Jefferies. Can't speak so much on the others (especially when it comes to groups), but the fact that top people at Piper have mentioned Jefferies to me several times seems revealing enough to me.

Bump - I'm a target-school sophomore strongly interested in Healthcare finance down the line, so I'm figuring out how I want to prioritize my networking for Summer 2021.

Is Piper Jaffray's Healthcare franchise as strong as it used to be? Are all of its offices equally strong for Healthcare, or are some better than others? What about for Healthcare sub-verticals? (I would prefer to not work in Minneapolis, and I'm particularly interested in biotech/pharmaceuticals)

Thank you for your time and perspectives!
