Protocol When Receiving a Low Bonus
Analyst bonus numbers are slated to be released at my bank in the next two weeks or so. Despite being top bucket / no issues with my performance, it seems very likely that I'm going to receive less than last year because of COVID / group performance.
What are some things you guys have been saying / plan to say when your MDs let you know your number? Obviously put on my poker face, be gracious, etc., but I assume they'll reference the macro situation in some capacity. Don't want to seem like I'm happy to be receiving a lower bonus & seem weak, but don't want to be ungrateful of course.
