Psychopathy in big finance

Well, to make it big in ‘big’ Finance , I should think an elevated sense of lack of empathy, deviousness and unrelenting drive to achieve goals is required. What are you thoughts on the prevalence of psychopaths in big finance?

Hopefully this is satire. You do not need lack of empathy or deviousness to achieve your goals. If you succeed with these, it is despite them - not because of them.

The successful bankers I know are able to motivate their team by convincing them to WANT to do their jobs well. Not by instilling fear or threatening punishment.
