Putnam Lovell NBF's reputation

How is their reputation in terms of boutiques?

I might be able to get something with them this summer in M&A and was wondering due to Putnam's size (its extremely small) do people at the BBs know of them and will my summer be recognized as solid MM experience.

They have done some deals for BNP Paribas, American Express and State Street so I'm assuming they are a known player within financial services considering they only do M&A deals for financial services companies even though they only have a small number of employees.

I checked the MDs at the company and only one was a high flyer in terms of prior industry experience.

He was over at Sandler, ONeill and also Perella Weinstein before coming to Putnam and had an MBA from Wharton. However, I was not overly impressed with the previous career credentials or academic qualifications of the other few MDs.
