Putting an internship on a resume that you haven't started yet
I'm a current sophomore and I have an internship at a boutique in NYC this summer. I know it might sound dumb to put an internship on my resume that hasn't even started yet, but I'm at a non-target and with BB recruiting underway now, I think it would be beneficial for me to put this on my resume. What do you think? Add bullets of what I'm expecting to do or just have it there with no bullets?
Cmon someone
Just put "incoming your role" with no bullet points
Agreed, maybe throw one bullet below describing the firm if it's a relatively small firm no one really knows about, like small local boutiques
From what I've seen, most strong candidates are putting the experience on their resume even if they haven't started. They just write "Scheduled to complete a XX-week internship with XXX Banks" in a bullet, and put "Summer 20XX" for their date. You can use whatever your job title is, don't worry about including "incoming."
