PWP Buy-side Recruiting

Curious to hear what the buy-side recruiting situation is at PWP. I know PE exits were discouraged in the past, but have heard that senior management is somewhat more supportive these days. How true is that?

You're correct that in the past it exits were discouraged (similar to CVP), because the firm was in its nascent stages and sought to retain analysts to help the firm grow. However those days are gone, and I know from friends currently working there that the firm has become a lot more supportive of exiting if you tell them you're looking to exit (as opposed to staying for A2A which the firm also supports). By "a lot more supportive" I mean senior bankers giving recs, 2nd year analysts who have offers helping first years recruit, etc. According to my first-year analyst friend, exits for the past two classes include Warburg Pincus, Carlyle, Lindsay Goldberg, L Catterton, GA, and Summit, and I'm probably forgetting some others.
