Throwaway account. Just received an invite for Qatalyst FT2020 first round phone interview. Seems a lot of the information in the database is tailored toward SA interviews. Wanted to see if anyone has interviewed with them for FT before and can provide any insight into the questions and process. Only 2 weeks away from starting my BB SA gig, so kind of unsure when final rounds would happen (if I'm lucky).

“Alessandro was super friendly and extremely accommodating. When none of the slots on his Calendly worked for me, he went out of his way to find a time that did. He was really helpful on my 7 behavioural stories, giving actionable feedback on where I could improve each one. It was especially useful to hear how students usually answer these questions, as it showed me how to stand out. He also explained how I could tweak each story to answer a much wider range of questions, which made my prep far more flexible. On top of that, he gave me extra questions to prepare beyond the 7 stories.”

Investment Banking Mock Coffee Chat

“the mentor was great and extremely knowledgeable, the session was good, and I was able to have the ideal coffee chat. The only thing that could be improved was the hours available for scheduling. This was the best mock coffee chat I had and was able to apply the takeaways from my last mock to do very well in this one. Javier was also very helpful to me and we were able to connect and find like interests in our session which only helped to further improve the coffee chat. We could have focused a little more on how to improve, but I was also able to usse and adapt the WSO questions to fir into the conversation. ”
