Qatalyst Partners Phone Interview

I have an interview for Qatalyst Partners next week. Two analysts will be interviewing me. Does anyone have any advice for how to prepare or what to expect? Would it be regular behavioral questions or intense technical questions, etc?

any more advice on how qatalyst interview will go?

also, where would I be able to get tutorials on how to build merger models/LBOs? I've mostly been using guides but they don't have things like case studies or examples I could follow to actually see how the models work.

Look at Macabacus or ASimpleModel for step-by-step examples of creating financial models. Ask your career center or recent alumni who are in the industry if they can give you the TTS (Training the Street) or similar firms' models that they use in the training week for summer analysts.

I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.

Thanks, that sounds about right! I've interviewed with them two weeks ago and they said they weren't ready for a second phone call quite yet and would keep me posted and that I should let them know if I get any exploding offers. A little weird--hope that doesn't mean I got sacked. Also wouldn't tell me much about their timeline.

Know a friend there. he told me technicals then had the very important "Why Tech" question. I don't know if you go to Cal, Stanford, or Penn but those are the three schools that they recruit at specifically.
