Question in regards to interviews for SA positions

For those who went through the interview process for summer analyst positions...were your interviews technical question heavy at all?

The reason I ask is because those who went to my school and have held SA positions, have said that their interviews were not technical heavy.

I have heard that Goldman & the boutiques interviews for SA positions are, but in terms of some of the other BBs and MMs it seems as though many of them seem to be more geared towards behavioral and fit questions.

For those who would rather not give away specific bank names that is alright with me, just looking for a general overview.

They are not technically heavy. They will ask verrrrry light technicals (bailout, the financial crisis) but they will not tear into you unless you bring up something technical yourself.

Still not sure if I want to spend the next 30+ years grinding away in corporate finance and the WSO dream chase or look to have enough passive income to live simply and work minimally.
