RE (Capital Markets/Brokerage) to IB - Is it possible?

Hey guys,

Current junior at a non-target. I have had over 1 year of RE valuations experience at a boutique shop. I just accepted a capital markets/brokerage summer internship at a big 4 CRE (JLL/CBRE). I feel that I have a good grasp on technicals and modeling but always willing to learn more of course.

Just hoping to get any advice on what skills are transferable and if the move from RE to IB is even possible. I know the lifestyle of bankers (grueling workload, long hours, pressure) but I'm eager to learn more about the industry and not find myself in a dead end job. I appreciate any feedback.

Thanks in advance.
