Realistic FT Recruiting Opportunities w/ F500 Corp. Fin Internship Junior Year & Non Target (Sort Of)

Hi everyone, I'm currently approaching this summer to do an internship at a big F500 company in FP&A. I was curious to ask if anybody has any advice to offer on where to go for senior year recruiting.

I'm not looking to do the typical IB-route as that is nearly impossible considering I didn't SA at a bank anywhere and also go to a kind of non-target (Rutgers).

I was thinking maybe recruiting for analyst programs at banks like MUFG, SMBC, etc. Getting into roles like capital markets or LevFin at those tiers of banks. Has anyone done this and is this possible?

Or are the roles at those banks pretty similar to general IB roles where you have to grind and network your ass off.

If anyone else has a similar experience from junior summer, I'm curious to hear where you ended up going FT after graduation.
