Recruiting for IB As A Fixed Income Analyst
Will keep things short here. I am finishing my first year at a top bank as an analyst on a fixed income sales / trading desk. Working on more structured deals for institutional and corporates and have become more interested in dealmaking and IB work.
What might be the best way to jump over to an IB role? I know networking a ton is vital and looking at internal transfers too. Has anyone made this switch before? What should I be focused on while trying to do this.
Have a T20 education and top GPA close to 4.0 for reference. Have started talking to alumni but would like to know what the best track to follow is to get into banking in this market.
