Rothschild Summer 2024 Apps already open?!
Just saw today that Rothschild has already posted it's US Summer Analyst 2024 Global Advisory Applications.
What does this mean for recruiting in general and is it even worth it to apply now given that I don't even have a 2023 summer internship at hand?

They won't do regular interviews until March at the earliest probably
this shit is crazy. i saw rbc also opened apps for 2024 but i know theyre historically quite early. but yeah same boat as you, still grinding for 2023 sophomore programs

Wait, no need to apply this early. Don’t wait until last minute though.
Two things:
1) They have opened, but it is unlikely they will interview until next year, RBC did the same thing last year where they opened this early and didn't interview until spring. I talked to a friend who works there and the analysts and associates haven't even been prepped on recruiting yet, which would typically happen before they go through the process.
2) Finally, don't worry about not having a 2023 internship if you are applying for 2024 roles. Many haven't gotten their sophomore summer roles before they get their junior summer roles, and it is very unlikely that anyone has sophomore summer locked down at this point. Most people will be getting their sophomore summer roles over the next few months and into the spring.
