RSM, MSc in Business Analytics & Management for IBD
Hi friends, I have a short question,
Do you think that a MSc in Business Analytics & Management at RSM can be helpful for a career in IBD? Is a master program in business analytics a good choice? Should I take instead a Msc in Finance & Investments offered by the same university (RSM)? I don't know which program out of these two is better for IB.
Current MSc Finance student here (not RSM, other target in continental Europe).
I'd recommend going for a Masters in Finance if you want to do IB. Other programs obviously can also work, but doing a Masters in Finance will just have a different signalling (regarding your interest in finance in general). Also, your peers will likely also be more interested in IB than in another masters program, which will be helpful.
Do not go for Finance & Investments unless you are fine with studying 15 hours a day for your exams.
As stated below, at the Masters level it is highly recommended that you go for an MSc in finance to show your interest in Finance. RSM is targeted by all banks in the BeNeLux and in London.
