Salary rankings are inaccurate?

According to Cnn money, forbes, etc, the top-paying jobs are doctors (all 10 billion different types of them; from anesthesiologist to athlete's foot specialist), lawyers, and dentists. I find this absolutely retarded, because the greatest capital gains are in finance + large companies execs with multi-million dollar bonuses. How the hell does 100-250 k doctor's paycheck compare to earnings of hedge fund associate, investment banker at bulge-bracket, good broker, other careers in finance where you can make more than 1 mil / year, or finance / marketing / sales directors at high tech / healthcare companies. Who the fuck makes up those rankings?

GoodBreadBecause the majority of compensation in high finance comes in the form or bonuses, commissions, carried interest or personal investments.

Oh ya, spot on, but it just seems strange that bonuses are discounted in the rankings. I guess it's hard to come up with an average, because the distribution of bonuses is fairly narrow.
