Sent Wrong Document With List of Potential Targets HELP!

I was trying to email one of our target CEO's info about the company that would potentially like to acquire him; however, I sent out a list of our other potential target acquisitions!!! The list is a few hundred companies we ruled out and then narrowed down to about 20 companies we're targeting. His response was "you sent me the wrong presentation - please resend" I resent the correct one and haven't heard anything from him since.

I don't know what to do, I've only worked there 8 months.. Should I go in tomorrow and tell someone, or just hope he doesn't say anything?

Was there any material/confidential information in the incorrect file you sent that the recipient shouldn't have seen? If so, definitely need to nut up and tell someone. If not and it was just a past presentation or something, probably no reason to bring it up internally. Mistakes happen (although this sounds like a pretty avoidable one) and it's not worth getting yourself crapped on when it will likely just be forgotten.

That said, shouldn't you be copying your team on emails like this anyway? If I was senior to you, I would be much more concerned that you are communicating with targets/clients and not keeping everyone else on the team looped in. Even if that isn't the norm at your firm, it's the norm at pretty much every legitimate bank I've worked at/across the table from, so it may be worth incorporating into your communication going forward.
