Shedding light on Oppenheimer
Anyone currently working at Oppenheimer or used to work there in IBD? Can someone shed light on culture, best groups, compensation, and exit ops?

Heard there was recently change of head of IB and the new head of IB is capital markets focused, so that shifts what type of work the bankers are chasing. Culture is not the best according to former analysts I spoke with, in terms of private equity recruiting at least. However, it still has a great reputation and you can end up at some really great upper MM shops.
It's a fine mid-tier MM shop, about the same tier as Piper. Kinda douchey from what I've heard, but you'll have some quality exit opps if you're willing to put in some extra work. If you have an offer from somewhere like Baird or Blair, go there instead - but I'd choose Oppenheimer before I went to Piper, Jefferies, or Harris Williams.
oppenheimer over jefferies??
Just making sure you're paying attention ;)
Really Opco over HW? Or was that one also a joke. If not, why do you think Opco is better than harris williams?
i've heard opco sponsors intl's. is this true?
where are they right now in the 2019SA process?
