Shortened Internships with Full Salaries?

Hi,

I just learned that my MM IB internship has been shortened by a few weeks. However, there was no further information regarding compensation, while I have heard that several other banks that have delayed starts are still paying interns for the full duration of the original term.

I definitely wouldn't raise a fuss about that money regardless of what happens, but out of some personal curiosity and a lot of personal financial planning, I was just wondering if paying for the full term is more or less becoming a "Street" practice? Thank you for your insights!
