Should I grieve?

Had a final round with a partner for a pretty big group at a BB for an SA role. He mentioned that I should “feel free to reach out to me anytime after this”.

I take that as a sign of a rejection. Am I too insecure to think that? And how can I get back up after this defeat, I’ve come up empty for 3 SDs already?

Not to sound negative, but I do think it's lost cause after hearing those words. Would be very surprised if you hear back positive, unless others reject or something else happens.

Run a few miles, throw a few punches on the sandbag, lift weights - whatever gets your heart racing and body aching.

Moving-on is tough but that's the only way. Write that next outreach email, get on the call with the recruiter, call up a friend's brother ex girlfriend's roommate for a reference…

As life goes, things don't happen when you are most desperate for it… unfortunately!

Good things come to those who wait, plse wait .. it will happen. Be confident.

Ditto to this OP. From IB interview experience, this sounds like a ding but tbd. I remember getting a handful of dings from corporate companies early spring semester in my 1st year at my program (like 5 in 2 days, something high like that). Was stressed out but grinded and interviewed for 3-4 more final rounds the following week. My summer offer ended up being one of the interviews I thought I bombed.

Just keep grinding, I know how it feels. Try to still say social with friends / treat yourself well (go to the gym) etc.
