Solid LMM Banking Firms in NY?

Current sophomore rn at a target school. Recruiting has been absolutely rough, and I'm trying to find some smaller shops that could still give me solid deal exposure and lateral/FT recruiting potential. Does anyone have any suggestions for NYC?

Idk if your school has this but look at the alumni directory, scope out alumni that work in finance in T2 cities (CLT, HOU, MIN, BOS) or at smaller buy-side firms and reach out to them for coffee chats. Even if they don't work at a LMM banking shop now, they may know the scene better. A lot of people go from NYC LMM to T2 cities.

Also be very careful, a lot of LMM shops will just be an absolute waste of time in terms of skill development. I did one my junior year and it sucked but at the very least it was a nice placeholder on my resume.
