Solomon Partners SA 2026

I have an interview with them soon (just the initial HR screening). Everything on this forum about them is just trolling so I would genuinely love to know if anybody knows much about their recruiting process, dealflow, wlb, etc.

Would be very helpful, thanks.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here's what you need to know about Solomon Partners:

  1. Recruiting Process: While there isn't specific information about the SA 2026 recruiting process in the dataset, Solomon Partners is known for having a structured recruiting process similar to other investment banks. Initial HR screenings typically focus on your resume, behavioral questions, and basic fit for the role. Be prepared to discuss your background, interest in investment banking, and why Solomon Partners specifically.

  2. Deal Flow: Solomon Partners has been noted for strong deal flow across various coverage groups. Some of their key groups include Business Services, Consumer Retail, Fintech, Financial Sponsors, Healthcare, and Technology, Media & Telecommunications. Their deal flow is considered solid, especially in niche sectors like Grocery, Pharmacy & Restaurants and Infrastructure, Power & Renewables.

  3. Work-Life Balance (WLB): Compared to some other firms, Solomon Partners is often highlighted for having a better work-life balance and a more collaborative culture. However, as with any investment bank, the workload can still be demanding, especially during live deals.

  4. Culture: The firm is known for its collegial environment and strong mentorship culture. This can make it a more appealing option for those looking for a supportive atmosphere.

  5. Exits and Prestige: While not at the level of top-tier EBs or BBs, Solomon Partners offers solid exit opportunities, particularly for those interested in middle-market private equity or corporate development roles. Their reputation has been growing, especially in certain sectors.

For your HR screening, focus on articulating your interest in the firm, your understanding of their key sectors, and how your skills align with their needs. Good luck!
