Stop with the high finance elitism
People love to act like it’s impossible to break into IB or high finance without an “elite” target school. Let’s be real: do you think every single person at Goldman or JPM came from a T30? Of course not.
I went to UARK, and in our honors college, students had every opportunity—Goldman, JPMorgan, investment banking, you name it. The idea that talent and drive only exist at a handful of schools is pure elitism.
Yes, targets give you more alumni pipelines and structured recruiting. But plenty of students from strong regional programs still land top roles through grades, internships, and networking. Stop pretending school is the only ticket—it isn’t. Also stop with firm elitism. No one cares.
The moral behind your point is great, but the point itself is pretty dumb. Look up Goldman Sachs on Linkedin and check how many people work there from UArkansas, and then look up Harvard and see the numerical difference. It's just empty words from you really.
