Struck Out on Recruiting

I am a junior who just exhausted the last lead I had on finding an internship in IB for the upcoming summer. I think most of the reason I struck out so far has to do with poor networking rather than a bad resume, but I could be mistaken. I definitely would prefer to go into IB, but at this point it seems like it's too late to get a summer internship. Does anyone have any advice for things I could do over the summer that would give me a chance of landing a FT job next year?

Its October John Smith. Summer does not start for another 8 months. You're displaying a lack of hustle and determination, this may be evident during interviews/networking. You lack the hunger and would burn out in the bullpen after a year.

If the experience on your resume is solid, and you're getting some leads, then it might be that you're poorly executing on the phone whether its your personality, lack of good questions, or aptitude with technical questions.

Instead of thinking about what you could do in the upcoming summer, maybe you should think about what you can do in the next 8 months?

That was the question I was trying to ask. I'm unsure how to move forward. From what I know, most banks have already wrapped up their SA recruiting, so I don't know what I should be focusing on right now to help me for the summer and next year.
