Do any of you know if summer analysts get a bonus at the end of the summer?

got $1000 bonus at end of the summer for getting an offer regardless of if i accepted or not (which i didnt)
I got $2000 plus the $5k/month salary for a 10 week BB Banking internship.
was the 2k your housing allowance?
Yeah, the $2k was a "housing allowance" just as my $10k for signing FT is a "relocation allowance." Bonuses by a different name; you get them in cash.
EDIT: I just re-read the topic. I got the bonus about 2 weeks after I started the internship, so not at the end of the summer.
And by cash you mean in a paycheck less applicable withholdings. Don't want to mislead anyone.

when i summered i got a 1k end of summer bonus for getting an offer and i think analysts got another 1-2k if tehy accepted the offer within a month or so

BB's in general either no or very little. Top boutiqes can vary.
Khan, I'm sure the standard bonus applied as well. Most BBs will pay a "loyalty bonus" of a couple grand if you sign prior to Fall FT recruiting, and that's in addition to all the other standard payments.
didnt go back to the bank i summered at, but ya still get 10k on top of that

The 2k is really more of a housing bonus. And yes it's standard.

If you do exceptionally well, a few firms may offer a modest performance bonus at the end of the summer. Most banks don't, and the ones that do tend to only hand them out to a small handful of SAs.
Bump. If I go to school in NYC but my dorm contract is up in May do I still get that 2K relocation bonus common at some big banks?

I'm about to finish up a summer associate program at a smaller, but prestigious, I-bank in NYC. Does anyone know about the potential for bonuses for someone in my position at BB and similar shops? I think that I've done a good job and have worked hard on a few live deals, but I'm not sure what to expect (my employment contract did mention the "potential" for end-of-summer bonuses).

I'm in the same boat. They told us at the beginning of the summer that there is "customarily" an end of summer bonus. Who knows what that means...
some shops make the amount of the bonus dependent on whether or not you get a full-time offer to return (doesn't make sense to pay someone money that you aren't hoping to take on full-time). i remember other firms tying a portion of the payout to whether or not you signed on full-time (i.e. - $5K bonus, with the other "expected" $5K to be received with your regular sign-on bonus, should you join them full-time).
