Stay in ER. Good comp, good wlb, all the modeling of normal finance and prestige is based on your name (or who u work for) instead of the bank.

Yes. One of the more competent bankers I have worked with not only interned in ER but was there FT for like 2 years. It absolutely can be done.

You just need to frame your experience as something to the effect of “I thought I ER was for me but it wasn’t. Through that experience I learned that IB is what I wanted to do because [insert reason].” You also need to make sure you interview well. You will be competing for a far smaller number of slots
