T6 to IB?
T6 law to IB? Is that the only way for me? I went to law school discussion and they said I can get into T6 easy.
and MBA would probably be more expensive cause law dishes out the scholarships for high LSAT.
thank you!

Why can't you get an MBA?
Well I won't be able to get into a top MBA program. So no top MBA means no IB. I can get into a top law school. Also, w/ law, u always have biglaw backup
I think IB is possible out of a top 20 MBA program, which have lower academic standards than law schools. If you really want one, I think you can. Just need to work a few years, bust your butt, and apply. I don't see the problem here...
I would apply to law schools and take the GMAT. Once in at law school, apply to the MBA programs. If already accepted at the law portion, most b-schools will overlook your lack of work experience.
OP, you keep asking if it will be "easy" to get an IB internship with a Wharton JD/MBA.....it won't be easy as the process isn't easy for anyone. Will you be well positioned...yes....but not everyone that goes for IB at even the top schools gets internships....it's a ton of networking and then all about executing on interviews.
You'll also need to work on your story as to why you don't want to do law / why you just didn't get an MBA--this shouldn't be hard but I wouldn't say "because I wanted to backdoor my way into an MBA."
Also while a JD/MBA will help overcome your lack of work experience, that will still be an uphill clime for you. At top business schools you are competing for offers against your peers at your same school as each school has dedicated recruiting teams and banks allocate certain spots for each schools. You'll be competing against people that did finance before school or worked in consulting or other interesting businesses environments. Those that don't have business experience likely were in leadership positions in the military (which banks like a lot) or did something like Teach for America. All of these will be far more interesting to recruiters than your background. Not saying this to discourage you as you can't change the past, and going back to school is a great way to reshape your career path, but I'd give up on the notion that things will be "easy."
.
something tells me you don't have "good/excellent people-skills"....
Look - don't take this the wrong way, but you come off as simple.
It won't be an easy path to either MBB consulting, IB or biglaw, but like others have said above, you will be well positioned to get interviews with them once you have that top law school credential (MBB consulting won't even look at your GPA, but you need to have a good story as to why consulting/IB). You should also look at lower T14 with good business school (UPenn, UMich, Northwestern, Duke), hopefully you can get a full ride there.
I'd like to get into Harvard. I wonder if I have a chance?
I find that lab work is very unproductive. So I now want to go into business/law to make it more productive.
Not sure about Harvard, but you can def get a handsome scholarship from some other t14s. You should probably consider IP transactional groups at law firms, either biglaw or IP boutiques. Very few law students have technical background, so someone like you with a biology degree are highly sought after. Another route is working as an IP agent at a firm and get sponsored for law school, I have seen a few people going to law school while working at their old firms and return full time once graduated, most of them have PHDs though.
You've made a few similar posts. Dude, if your LSAT is legit: going to a T6 seems like a good idea - you will get in.
Have you done the GMAT?
