Jeff Mcdermott, the founder of Greentech, left Nomura after 3 years. How will it affect Nomura, especially the Greentech team? Why did he leave?

He is retiring. I don’t think this will have much impact on Greentech tbh
My guess is there was a three year vest / retention bonus on the acquisition and he was out the minute that ran out
Exactly this. I don't work there but the public info is pretty clear what happened - it's 6 weeks past the 3-year mark of closing.. likely selling was his exit/retirement plan and they wanted him around for 3 years to help integrate smoothly. Doubt this will severely impact the group, and also don't think he joins a new bank in 3 months
