The Most Annoying "Business Career Path"

Currently, I'm studying finance looking to minor in supply chain management. I plan to go into investment banking once I graduate (the division I'm not quite sure of yet) then transition into private equity or hedge funds in the future. However, my ultimate goal is to work coordinating non-profit organizations supply chains during disasters or assist in raising capital for other non-profits. Aside from all the time I spend studying, most of my time spent is constantly preparing for stock pitch competitions held by investing organizations on campus and competing with friends and other students in virtual stock portfolio management games (I'm currently up this year about 10%!).

I'm not sure what the question is but why not just go for the ultimate go from the start?

No need to try to get into ibanking and chase what's hot to seek validation like the rest of insecure people out there.

Do you even have a reason why you want to transition into a hedge fund or is it because that's what everyone talks about and you are a follower?
