Things you should know about the firm
Hi,
I have some interviews at some firms... GS and Lehmans. What are some things I should know about the firm before the interview?
Thanks.

its lehman, dipshit. youre f*cked
Yep. Definately fucked. Just make sure on your GS interview you say "Goldman Sachs," not "Goodman Sachs"
Note to Self: Never fuck-up anything on forums...
I would say you should be familiar with any recent deals they've been involved in. Have an idea of the direction they are going as well. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to have your own opinions on the firm(s) and how you would change things.
Know a friend who got dinged at one of the BBs, and when he called his interviewer to ask why, the person said it was because he wasn't able to answer the question: "How many employees do we have worldwide?", while another candidate was.
and you will be kicked out of the door
but read recent news...know the big deals theyve worked on..have an idea of market cap stock price # of employees etc and maybe a few of the top execs..but mainly recent deals/news
read the annual report letter to shareholders to see what the firm is about and read the websites to see what their "values" are. for example GS is teamwork teamwork teamwork and Lehman stresses culture
also, make sure you wear jeans and a jean jacket to the interview- you'll want to show them what a great fit you are for Lehman's "laid back" culture.
