Thought Process for Cold Recruiting Email

Hey WSO,

I've currently been an analyst at a boutique M&A shop for ~6 months. I've been enjoying it and have been ramped up quickly with more responsibility than expected. I recently got cold contacted by a MM firm looking for analysts and I was curious how you all would frame your thought process on a lateral move (i.e., is it worth it?). Would be a move to a higher COL city, but the shop closes way more transactions than where I'm at.

Appreciate any thoughts or anecdotes.

Thanks,

-Val
