Jefferies is undoubtedly the best among the 3 you listed. They're an A&D powerhouse, so you will get reps but work very long hours. Junior culture is solid, but not so sure about the senior culture.
Can't speak to HL since I don't see them on many deals and haven't met the group.
I heard that the Piper Energy team is imploding and that there will be an exodus soon. Seems like people were not happy with their bonus. Deal flow isn't great from what I hear.
