Rule of thumb though is HC is good at any shop for the most part.
To add some color here:
- CVP is cracked af, imo best shop
- JPM is cracked with bad culture
- PWP is cracked (the best) in medtech which is a shitty sub-vertical but still the best in it so it gets a mention
- EVR, god tier sweat levels but good culture allegedly

HL and Jefferies are great in the MM
Piper’s medtech group is one of the top MM groups on the street
On the boutique side, I think MTS Health Partners is the real deal. Very interesting life science deals and they do dabble in HCIT. Met a handful of sharp bankers there. Culture seems solid (spoke with 5+ bankers there, all seem great outside of one outlier)
If you absolutely want HC its rlly just CVP SF and GS HC. JPM is great but you gotta go through placements. EVR/LAZ recruits generalist so HC staffing is not guaranteed.
Good list. Would add Jeff HC if you're interested in HC Services and a ton of exposure to sponsor deal flow. Ton of ex Jeff bankers at MM funds focusing on healthcare especially in NYC.
