Hello, there. I want to be an investment banker. Although, I'm not exactly sure what an i-b professional does. From what I understand it consists of stock returns and financial analysis as well as professional strategies (and a hectic trading floor!). Not sure. Does an i-b professional typically make over $60k as a junior stockbroker? Would appreciate any input.

Investment banking is facilitating and structuring transactions for clients. This could include M&A, capital raises via debt or equity issuance, restructuring, etc. There is actually no such thing as a stock broker in 2021 and that job was not related to banking anyway
