Unofficial transcript - Benefit?
When going in for interviews, I normally bring a copy of my resume, as well as an unofficial transcript in. My GPA is solid but has been outstanding over the past two semesters, showing a solid upward trend, all good things. My question is, if on the transcript I have A's in classes like Corporate Financial Management and Security Valuation, do you think that will be a benefit, and look very good, improving my chances at getting the job, or just open myself up to more technical grilling because they think I should know everything since I have taken those classes? These are interviews for IBD SA positions.
ok... remind me why you're afraid to show you know more than others
Haha I'm not, but just had one bad experience with an analyst who wanted to be a big shot, saw the classes on my transcript, and put me through a meat grinder on technical shit.
why show them your transcript at all? that's just begging for technical questions. let them know what classes you've taken but don't brag about them.
Yea, my thoughts exactly. I feel as though if I have specific classes on there they will be more inclined to grill me and expect me to know it flawlessly.
