Up or out/worst banks to become a career banker at?
Wondering what banks are the worst to build a career as a banker at? Specifically a product banker e.g., DCM/ECM/LevFin etc. I know some people have a mindset where they're very much like they just want to do 2 years and then leave. I'm not a fan of that culture, and I'd rather be at a bank that invests a lot in their junior talent and retain them so that promotion to ASO, VP, and further is a natural progression.
Anyone have any thoughts on which banks are the best for it, and which are the worst?
I’d imagine this would be an easy thing to look for on LinkedIn. High number of MBA associates indicates a need to fill open spots left by departing analysts. Anecdotally speaking, my office has 0 MBA associates. All of our As+ are internal.
