Upcoming AC but already accepted an offer.
Hello everyone,
This week I will have an AC with a BB (think GS/JPM/MS) for a summer analyst position but I have already accepted an offer to join another BB (think BAML/CS/Citi/Barclays) for the same position.
How should I behave during the interview? Should I say that I have already accepted an offer and where?
If they ask me why then I am interviewing with them if I have already accepted an offer what should I say?
Thank you as always!
Bump
you can always reject the offer if you pass the ac
What about during the interview? Should I tell them that I have already signed an offer?
Always a dangerous one as it can be interpreted in both directions.
If you are thinking that holding an offer adds value - then that works, but saying your have accepted adds no value - since you would either renege or decline this current offer.
If it comes up just say it’s from another BB, that’s it.
The fact is that when invited to the VI I was asked if I had any exploding offers to which I said yes specifying the bank (they never replied to this email). Two weeks after having accepted the offer the other BB invited me to the Superday. There is a written record saying that I had an exploding offer should I just lie and say that I am in the final stages of other processes or be honest and tell them about this other offer I accepted at his other bank?
