UPDATE Jonathan Kaye (Ex-Moelis)

As the world returns back to normal post-democrats, Rothschild has hired Jonathan Kaye:

What do you think - did Rothschild make the right call, or should the media fallout have been a dealbreaker?

Sorry, perhaps I’m just lacking context since I don’t know the guy or the situation, but what’s wrong with the OP saying that he respects a banker he’s worked with in the past?

Genuine question. Is this comment specifically because this specific guy in question is hated in particular, or are praises toward bankers just seen as cringe in general?

Confused.

What’s up with the jew shit? How does him being a Jew impact this at all? Dude punched someone, justified or not, and got a decent job offer after working at a decent bank previously.

How does this translate into Hebrew being on my screen in the IB forum?

Controversial

At least someone is thinking clearly.

NO reason for Hebrew to be written on this forum. They are just playing victim.

The guy brutally assaulted a WOMAN. He's a criminal and shouldn't ever be in a front-office role again. Period.

The man was surrounded on a dark night in Brooklyn by aggressive protestors who threw a drink in his face (he had no clue what was in it). It was a fight or flight response; he acted in self defense.

I don't know the details of what happened or if his being Jewish impacted the matter. My only thoughts are that if he was singled out for being Jewish, and assaulted (liquid thrown at him), I can empathise with him.

But attacking a woman pretty much precludes you from being considered a real man. Period. I don't want to hear any of this, "equal rights, equal fights" or DEI nonsense either. A woman is a woman and should never be attacked by a man. If you do this, you weren't raised right.

Anyway, they're working on the sellside, and at Roth of all places, hardly being given the keys to the world.

This was an act of self defense, that is not assault even if against a woman. And even if this weren’t triggered anti-Semitic, it doesn’t change the fact that random people on a dark night assaulted him as a group, which throwing a drink does actually count as assault. I think anyone who watches the video and has common sense would realize this was self defense.
