UT Austin Finance Club Rankings
With all the fuss about UT Austin on here, figured I'd break down the finance clubs for those considering attending the university or already there. Most of these rankings are based on placements, location, and alumni network.

A: IBA, TEC, FTeam
B: TCG, TST
C: SIG, LIT
F: UFA, UTexas Energy

why do you plug TEC so much on here, clearly a member or sum. TEC takes the biggest analyst classes of any Non-UFA or LIT org, places only 10% of them into NYC, and the rest go to mostly mid tier houston banks. if anyone disagrees just check their website
They founded like a year or two ago. Solid placement since last year with BBs/EBs to NY and guaranteed pipeline to Houston banks like TPH, citi, Barclays, etc

Friends in the org. By looks of website, seems like they hit major BBs, couple of EB placements in NY. Since when is GS/EVC mid?
Understandable to share information about these orgs to edit the original post, but spreading negativity based on false information and personal rejections does not contribute to accuracy.
not trying to hate just to hate - if anyones incoming at UT id encourage them to click through TECs website and see how ALL members have placed. lots of people arent even in banking at all
Both of you are missing the point of these “finance” clubs. Obviously placements matter, and it does help to be apart of a campus organization tied to students placements, but to a certain extent.
With that being said, these clubs are not end all be all. The main purpose is to meet people, be apart of a community, and receive mentorship. It really does not matter if there three people with good placements as opposed to ten. Listing out tiers for these clubs as if they are banks and comparing them to one another will not help any students, and will in fact confuse them.
I can attest that there are students in WSFM that perform very poorly during their recruitment cycle, and end up with a mid offer. There are certainly those who have placed super well and chose to stay away from these college clubs.
I also don’t think doing a deep dive through each students LinkedIn profile for their placements will yield any results - these are college students not working professionals.
