Title says all. Do you get guarantees when moving lateral in the same league (BB to BB / EB to EB)? That's starting VP1?

Also, is it usually for the top bucket amount and only for the first year if there is guarantee?
Depends how much leverage you have and how badly they need to fill. Since it is mid-year I’m sure you could get something for just this first year (6 months credit plus the 6 months you’ll actually work till the bonus is paid).
2021 timeframe definitely could get top bucket guarantees but not sure market is strong enough right now for a relatively junior mid-level position. Unless you’re MD level you aren’t getting multi-year guarantees in any market.
