Has anybody been invited to a 1st round interview? Emailed recruiter but said she/he would get back to me soon. Wondering if anybody has heard anything as applications closed on Sunday.
I got a rejection email based on the fact that I’d need future sponsorship regardless of OPT, don’t know if it helps but I got the email mid last week

how much does networking matter for getting a first round for wells?
I don’t think it matters that much. Went through summer analyst recruitment process through just a resume drop.
Doesn't matter at all if you have a good resume. I was non targ non div and during SA recruiting got an offer with no networking whatsoever
how were the technicals for wells?

Heard back from one office, sounds like they aren’t doing interviews just yet. But are starting to filter and get 1st round lined up through coffee chats and resume drops.

Wells has extended offers to a few ppl who were in close touch with them by virtue of networking btw. From what I hear, those offer don't have super tight acceptance date terms.

There are a lot of groups within different parts of the bank that have similar comp to IB. If you don't get called back for IB interviews, I'd encourage you to explore the other groups. The real estate group in SF, the strategic capital, and the renewable energy group all do pretty well.
Just avoid middle market
What's wrong with middle market? Are you talking about MM IB or MM Commercial Banking?

Are you referring to the other thread from WF FT 2023? Bc the guy that mentioned NY was saying the location he picked, not that he got 1 st round.
