Wells Fargo IB/ABF Reputation & Culture

Obviously the commercial bank has had its issues, but what is it like working in their IB/ABF groups from those who have? What is their reputation as an IB? Would love to hear different opinions from everyone.

Do you know if there will be lateral hiring for your team? Any 2nd years planning on leaving?

Reputation and Culture:

"While it might sound like an excuse, the unfortunate reality is that there is a very limited pool of Black talent to recruit from."

- Charles W. Scharf, CEO

He's not wrong.  Tech companies tried really hard to increase the number of female software engineers...and what they found was that there simply weren't that many that could pass the rigorous coding interviews.  Its not racist or bigoted.

The quote is accurate.

But that’s not the culture of WF. Every recruiter I’ve talked to and every info session I’ve been to for the bank tours how diversity and inclusion is the core value of the business. Even the CEO on that same call echoed similar sentiments.
