Wells Fargo TMT still sweaty?

I am considering lateraling to WF TMT group. Posts I have read here historically seem harsh on both hours and culture. Have spoken with former juniors in the group, not very positive conversations. They said they were working 90-100 hour weeks consistently with no protected Saturdays.

Can anyone confirm? Is this still the setup? How does protected Saturdays work?

I am currently at a bank that has manageable hours and want to know what I would be walking into.

Any color you could provide would be helpful but your comment says a lot

Is it within specific sectors or entire office? What location is known to be more manageable?

Thanks. Thats surprising, thought protected Saturdays was standard at this point.

Why tf are wells bankers working that much lmao is it just endless pitching? These cats not winning real mandates

WF TMT has a new staffer in recent months who has meaningfully improved culture among juniors and helped manage seniors with some of their expectations. Much of the sweatiness I’ve seen is localized to very specific teams - not TMT-wide but good to do your diligence with interviewing. The group is aggressively advancing in league tables, any change comes with an adjustment period. Personally, I’ve had a really good experience in my time at Wells and would recommend the group.

Without getting into too many details the group is stronger than before but the culture is materially worse. The effort is not worth the results we are achieving today but it’s for the future and whatnot. It takes a lot to change a reputation after all
