What are some good kiss-ass encounters you've seen your subordinates/peers do?
Recently I took my direct report to an important meeting with me. Back to the office, as I was outlining my findings from the meeting to my supervisor, my direct report tells my supervisor about how I captivated that meeting and "that it was very cool that whenever Leo Steel spoke, everyone else in the room would be taking notes."
I really like that kid. What are some encounters you've witnessed?
As an intern I worked under an analyst that would give the head brokers a gift (e.g cigar,bottle of tequila) whenever she got her yearly raise, and then let them know she appreciates the opportunity to work under them. Seems like they genuinely appreciate her doing that
Why is that kiss-ass? Maybe its just a nice gesture?....idk.
I don't think it's very 'kiss-ass' per se, but for the sake of the post I thought it was fitting as it's a subordinate doing something unnecessary that their superior appreciates
