Canaccord Genuity and GMP probably run the "EB" show in Canada

Canaccord Genuity largest independent in Canada https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canaccord_Genuity

Yeah, I would definitely include GMP as the other "elite Canadian boutique". I don't think there are any other boutique firms of comparable size in Canada. There is of course National Bank, and their IB activity isn't as high as the Big Five, and perhaps they are comparable to Canaccord Genuity and GMP, but given the overall size of the bank, I don't think it's fair to call them a boutique.

IMO the only EBs in Canada are the same EBs around the world, such as Evercore, Greenhill, and Lazard (EB / MM)

No offence meant, but regional boutiques that are noteworthy are really just Canaccord and GMP, but I don't know much about them and hear both are not doing well nowadays

Canaccord and GMP have been hollowed out and are a shell of their former selves. Cormark isn't bad but Paradigm is done. The commodities downturn chewed through a lot of the boutiques with many going bust and the guys who have survived have had their market share eroded quite a bit with the banks leading with their balance sheets.
