Think you will generally find most of the banks with an LA office to target or at least have sizable portion of their alumni from the likes of UCLA and USC. Would encourage joining the relevant finance/banking clubs as a number of BBs and EBs would take annual trips to visit students at those organizations.

To tag onto the above:

Look into joining Value Investing Group or Trojan Investing Society.  Work at an MM bank in LA and every candidate I've talked to from USC over the past 2-3 years has one of those two societies on their resume.

Several BBs, EBs, and MMs will all come and have dedicated sessions with just members of those organizations in advance of recruiting and the organizations will actively pair you with mentors who are now working in Banking / PE.  I have friends from my time at SC who went to work at JPM, Credit Suisse, Barclays, UBS, Citi, etc. and all of them were participants in one of those groups. I'm sure i'm missing others, but the general point is that you'll have the opportunity to get in front of most all banks at USC if you join the right clubs and actively network with alumni.

Most banks in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

The main pipeline into banking from USC is the Trojan Investing Society Mentorship Program.
