What can I do better to help improve chances?

Hi,

I just wrapped up my freshman year at a non-target (think Rutgers, Fordham, UW) and I'm interested in either Equity Research or Investment Banking in ECM/DCM

- Stats:

> Non-target university but recognizable (think Rutgers, fordham, UW)

> 3.9 GPA, will have 1/2 my degree finished by December

> Involved with a few clubs (IB club, Scholars of Finance)

> Currently doing financial modeling courses from TTS to help learn corp fin fundamentals/modeling

- Internships:

> Taxes at H&R Block (I did this purely for money but I learned a lot - Feb - Apr 2024

> Search Fund PE Internship (Jan - May 2024)

> Current internship: Boutique wealth management firm; doing an internship in primarily investment research (looking at companies, analyzing financials [debt/equity], looking at the markets, analyzing candlestick charts for trends, doing revenue buildouts, working with clients, etc)

- Networking:

> Been on coffee chats with around 36 professionals so far since May; been going well, definitely a huge learning curve but i'm getting better each call.

> Goal is 80 calls by the end of this Summer, I'll probably end up doing around 100 if I keep my current trajectory

Thanks guys :)
