Whats with all the bankers posting about their day on TIktok?
I keep seeing tiktkoks of IB analysts posting videos of their groups, doing day in the life videos in the office. Why do you do this? Who do you think you are impressing? Fucking zoomers.
Anyone see that video where the analyst comes in at 11 am? How embarrassing to post that.
No one top bucket posts dumb shit like that on TikTok. Too busy doing actual work.

Imagine that poor analyst working till 6am on 70 pages of the appendix for a pitch they won’t win that’s not even until next month just to get flamed on Tik Tok for coming in at 11am
Don't think it's coming in at 11am that's the issue, it's that someone thinks it's appropriate to post it on social media for all the world to see.
Agree from a millennial POV, but Gen Z posts absolutely everything on the internet so that is only going to continue - their team isn't looking for them so I don't think it even crosses these people's minds. No 23 year old is embarrassed that they're coming in at 11am to work another 20 hour day. Obviously different in a 9-5 where 11am is just extremely late.
Seen many cringe TikTokers in my industry: healthcare. Twitter/LinkedIn of famous healthcare industry experts are actually very helpful/cool info - stuff they share/post.
Instagram/Tiktok influencers make me want to barf.

Maybe I'm biased because I'm a doctor, but HC workers are rarely overly cringe.
Although some of the best social media influencers in healthcare are entertaining precisely because of jokes that only doctors can understand or relate to. My favorites are Dr Glaucomflecken, Dr Schmidt, noisynaijapaediatrician, aproko doctor, etc
I'm very familiar with the medical field as I'm married to one in the field and two people are doctors in my immediate family.
I'm familiar with the first name you mention, he is funny so I'll give you that. I still stand by my opinion that most medical influencers on Instagram/Tiktok absolutely suck. Used to be very close with one too and thank god she stopped posting cringey stuff. My wife also said the people who made these pages after she graduated were usually those who hated medical training / had self-entitled personalties.
Clout is a hell of a drug
I presume that many of these junior bankers are already hating their lives from having to deal with IB hours so they are banking on that IB -> IB Youtube exit.

To be fair there are some days where my mornings are back to back calls beginning 7:30 or I get pinged nonstop for things that need to be done immediately. Then I’ll do it from home then come in at 11 when I have a moment while the VPs reviewing.
